​We are here to serve every aspect of the property owners’ needs in the maintenance of the Fire Protection Systems, Process piping, Plumbing and Soil, Waste & Vent (SWV) systems in your building.​
Your maintenance team will understand the design concept of the various systems hence the appropriate and effective maintenance work can be scheduled and also able to review contractor’s scope of work and to supervise the physical works.

Program Objectives:

​

After attending this course your skills and knowledge will be enhanced in these areas:
 

• 1. Self-reliance (at the very least) with the confidence in evaluating contractor’s proposal and the work completed of good practices
• 2. Select the suitable type of pumping system to meet the water usage requirement namely direct, variable speed drive, pneumatic tank
• 3. Select the piping material and calculate the pipe size amongst the many choices of plastic and metal material in particular hot water system
• 4. The preventive measures to minimize the impact of water hammer to the pipe lines by way of design and selection of the right equipment
• 5. View pictures of poorly installed plumbing and SWV systems which are preventable
• 6. Understand the operating principles of all the active Fire Protection Systems installed in the premises. Able to calculate the pipe size and select the correct pump size for its application
• 7. Conduct effective maintenance of the PS, SWV and FPS to ensure minimum interruptions to business operations

• Classroom 60%
• Case studies 20% - Group participation
• Case studies (frequent problem areas) 20%

Scientific calculator required amongst the participants during the case studies
